The game is one of the better Kinect games and the Kinect works very well with it.
You will also need to get platinum medals on each of the mini-games and you can strictly play mini-games by selecting the "Fast Pass" option from the main menu. The collectibles are not the usual collectibles and mostly involve taking pictures and getting autographs. Because of this I recommend doing the collectibles in lands and do a land each day to reduce the annoyance. You have a ton of collectibles to get and they are spread out throughout the lands. From here you can go for any of the achievements whenever you want to since there is no real story involved. Once you are shown the map you will be able to fast travel to the other sections in the park and to the mini-games that come with them.
After the tutorial, keep doing the other tasks given until being shown the map of the park. Right when you start a new game you will automatically go into the tutorial which will give you your first achievement. The Kinect sensor reads really well in this game apart from a few annoyances in one or two of the mini-games.

The mini-games are really fun and are not hard once you learn the right paths to take and how to play. The achievements are way more time consuming than difficult as none of the achievements are really that difficult, although some may take you a lot of attempts.

If you don't like collectibles I wouldn't recommend playing this game for the full 1000 because there is a lot of stuff to collect. There isn't really much of a story, it's more of a free roam game where you will do everything at your own pace whenever you would like to do it. Welcome to Kinect Disneyland Adventures!
